Debbie McGee opens up about beauty procedure as 67-year-old admits ‘Look better than I did in my 40s’
Debbie McGee has unveiled the results of a £4,500 non-surgical facelift, describing the transformation as “life-changing” and claiming her complexion now surpasses how it appeared two decades ago.
The 67-year-old television personality underwent a course of NeoGen nitrogen plasma treatments over the past year, with each of the six sessions costing approximately £750.
Speaking about her experience, the former Strictly Come Dancing finalist said: “I’m 67, I’m not expecting my skin to be perfect, but I actually think it’s better now than it was when I was probably in my 40s because it’s so much smoother and I just love it.”
The entertainer, who was married to late magician Paul Daniels until his death in 2016, had previously avoided all cosmetic procedures.

She admitted that prior to trying NeoGen, she had steered clear of any aesthetic interventions.
“I had never, ever had any treatments whatsoever. I didn’t even have facials,” she explained. “I was scared. I didn’t want to have toxins or things, fillers and Botox going in.”
Her decision to finally seek treatment came after witnessing the impressive outcomes achieved by friends Christine Hamilton and Shirley Ballas, who had both undergone the same procedure.
The primary concern driving Ms McGee to act was a pair of prominent brown marks on her cheek.

“I had a great big brown age spot. It was two, they kind of covered this area of my cheek,” she revealed.
“I always had to cover it with makeup, and if I didn’t, people would say, ‘What’s that?'”
The procedure, carried out by aesthetic nurse practitioner Jenny O’Neill at the Aspire Clinic in Reading, works by converting medical-grade nitrogen gas into plasma energy that penetrates deep into the skin’s layers.

Ms McGee was delighted to discover the treatment exceeded her initial expectations.
“What it actually did was more than get rid of this unsightly brown double mark that I had,” she said. “I had lots of little freckles ’cause I was a sun worshipper when I was younger. They’ve all gone.”
The transformation has given her newfound confidence to abandon her daily makeup routine.
“The biggest thing that NeoGen has done for me is now I don’t wear makeup anymore,” she revealed.
She emphasised that achieving a natural appearance was her top priority when selecting a treatment option.
“One of the reasons I didn’t have any other treatments and I’ve gone for NeoGen was because I didn’t want people to look at me and think, ‘She’s had work done,'” Ms McGee explained.
She added: “What’s been fantastic about NeoGen is all my girlfriends, and lots of guys I know, keep telling me, ‘My goodness, Debbie, you look so good.’ But they don’t say, ‘What have you had done?'”
With her autobiography, A Magical Life, due for release this October, Ms McGee timed the treatments to coincide with her 50th year in showbusiness.
Despite the significant outlay, she maintains the investment has proved worthwhile, noting she has saved considerably by no longer purchasing foundation.
