‘Pushes me to grow up!’
Olympic champion Adam Peaty has revealed that the prospect of welcoming a daughter with his wife, Holly Ramsay-Peaty, has forced him to “grow up”.
The 31-year-old swimmer, who married Gordon Ramsay’s daughter in December, has spoken candidly in a new interview about his expanding family.
The couple shared news of their pregnancy last month, announcing they are expecting a baby girl.
Mr Peaty, already a father to a five-year-old son from his previous relationship with artist Eirianedd Munro, expressed his joy at becoming a parent again.

The decorated athlete added that supporting Ms Ramsay-Peaty through her pregnancy “does push me even more to, I guess, grow up.”
The six-time Olympic medallist reflected warmly on his wedding day at Bath Abbey, describing it as among the finest moments of his life.
“Watching Holly walk down the aisle, it’s a view that I’ll never ever forget,” the former Strictly star said during the interview.
He spoke of carrying a mental image of that moment with him, noting the powerful atmosphere created by the ceremony’s music.
“It’s almost like I’ve got a snapshot in my brain, and the music in the church was just incredible,” he recalled.
The pair are believed to have first crossed paths through Ms Ramsay’s sister Tilly during the 2021 series of Strictly Come Dancing, where Mr Peaty competed as a contestant.
Their lavish nuptials took place on December 27, with Ms Ramsay-Peaty’s sisters serving as bridesmaids alongside Mr Peaty’s sister Bethany.

Mr Peaty spoke glowingly of his relationship with the celebrity chef, describing having Gordon Ramsay as a father-in-law as “an incredible blessing.”
The three-time Olympic gold medallist made clear that his priorities have shifted away from competitive success towards his family’s wellbeing.
“My love for them isn’t going to be judged by a medal,” he explained, adding that his primary concern is Ms Ramsay-Peaty’s happiness and health during her pregnancy, as well as the baby’s welfare.
Mr Peaty didn’t address his own parents during his latest interview. He remains estranged following a highly publicised falling out before his December wedding.

PAHis mother, Caroline, was uninvited from the ceremony, and his brother James was arrested on suspicion of harassment in the weeks leading up to the nuptials.
The feud between Mr Peaty and his parents became public in the lead-up to his wedding, with tensions escalating after Ms Ramsay-Peaty’s hen party at Soho Farmhouse excluded her future mother-in-law from the guest list.
Mr Peaty’s mother later shared her distress on social media, writing that she had “lost a piece of myself this year” and expressing hope that her “heart never has to break like this again.”
Mr Peaty has previously addressed the situation publicly, stating that coverage had been “deeply hurtful” and claiming it had been “encouraged by members of my family.”
Despite the family turmoil, the swimmer is now focused on his sporting ambitions, preparing to represent England at his fourth Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this summer.
