Stacey Solomon shares brilliant response to rude comment as she hits back with video: ‘What do you mean?’
Stacey Solomon has fired back at an online critic who told her to stop “trying to be 20 years old” after she shared a dress haul on social media.
The 36-year-old Sort Your Life Out presenter had posted videos of herself trying on various mini dresses, expressing how “pretty” the outfits made her feel.
However, one troll took issue with her fashion choices, suggesting the clothing was inappropriate for someone her age.
Rather than letting the comment slide, the television star addressed the criticism directly in a candid Instagram Stories video.

GETTYLaughing at the remark, Ms Solomon made clear she found the suggestion baffling, questioning the very notion that women should alter their wardrobe based on their age.
“I’m sorry but… says who? Like what is age appropriate?” the presenter asked in her response. “Anything over children’s sizes, there is no age limit.”
The presenter pointed out the absurdity of the criticism by noting that garments don’t come with age restrictions printed on their labels.
“When I pick up a top it doesn’t say, ‘Oh, thirty-five and under, you can’t have this one.’ What do you mean?” she continued.

Ms Solomon explained she had simply been enjoying her new purchases without giving any thought to whether they were suitable for her age bracket.
“I was just minding my own business feeling really pretty in all the dresses that I picked up for myself,” she said. “I wasn’t thinking, ‘Am I too old or too young to wear these clothes?'”
The television personality transformed the moment into a broader message of empowerment for her audience, urging them to ignore those who attempt to dictate what women should wear.
“Let me tell you something. If you ever see anything and you think, ‘Oh I really like that, I’m going to get it for myself’… get it,” she told followers.

Ms Solomon advised her fans to disregard anyone suggesting certain items are unsuitable based on age or other factors.
“Don’t even think about the people out there who are like, ‘Can’t wear that’, ‘Oh it’s too young for you’, ‘Oh it’s not age appropriate,'” she added.
“Never let anyone tell you you can’t wear something, for any reason. Size, age, hair, colour, whatever. Wear what makes you happy.”
Ms Solomon’s response comes just days after she made headlines for a harmonious family outing alongside husband Joe Swash and her former partner Dean Cox.
