Vanessa Feltz launches into furious rant after being left stranded at an airport: ‘Hellish!’
Broadcaster Vanessa Feltz unleashed her fury on social media after being left stuck at an airport in Sardinia alongside her four grandchildren and hundreds of fellow travellers.
The 64-year-old had been enjoying a family holiday on the Italian island but found her journey home thrown into disarray when British Airways suffered a complete system failure.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, the presenter described the ordeal as “hellish” as passengers were forced to wait in lengthy queues with no indication of when the technical problems might be resolved.
Ms Feltz had stopped receiving any updates about her flight and was left uncertain whether she and her family would even be able to board.

In footage recorded from the airport, she vented: “In Sardinia, the whole system is down, we’re all standing in the queue, waiting and waiting and waiting.”
She went on to criticise the absence of any fallback plan, adding: “They’ve got no plan, there’s no alternative, I don’t know what they’re going to suggest, and we’re all just waiting, waiting.”
A follow-up clip showed the situation had barely improved.

“Still standing in this hellish queue that just doesn’t move at all because the whole system is down,” she added.
“No one is telling us anything, no one knows.”
The presenter was particularly incensed by what she perceived as bureaucratic inertia.
“Apparently they could possibly do it manually but they need authorisation, from who, God himself what the hell? What the heck?” she fumed.
Despite her evident anger, Ms Feltz managed to leaven the experience with characteristic wit.

CHANNEL 5She joked that the extended wait was at least providing quality time with her grandchildren, quipping: “I’ve got four little grandchildren, and we’re actually, we’re forming great relationships, and maybe I’ll find a man to marry me in the queue, I don’t know, but so far, nothing!”
She also mocked the contents of her own suitcase, suggesting passengers were ready to abandon their belongings entirely just to get home.
“What’s in there anyway, a few old things from Matalan, a few old things from Dunnes Stores in Ireland in 1807, I don’t care if I never see my suitcase, I just want to go home!” she declared.

Her Channel 5 daytime programme was cancelled earlier this year, a decision she said left her “shocked and blindsided.”
Rather than retreating from public life, the broadcaster swiftly announced a new online venture. She is launching a YouTube series filmed from her London home of 24 years, which she has dubbed Feltz Towers, where a studio is currently being built.
She described the project as a “grown-up Big Breakfast-ish” show, with episodes also set to appear on Instagram and TikTok.
Television colleagues quickly rallied around her, with Ruth Langsford, Charlotte Hawkins and Holly Willoughby — who recently launched her own YouTube project — all voicing their support for the new chapter.
