Hollywood star Hugh Jackman is considering buying a stake in Norwich City.
The Australian, who is a Canaries fan after his mother came from Norwich, could be following in the footsteps of fellow actor and good friend Ryan Reynolds, who co-owns Wrexham.
Jackman, 57, shared his passion for the Canaries and why he wants to get involved at Carrow Road.
“I’m very, very interested – and talking about it right now. Good on Ryan, you do your thing, I’m all about the Canaries,” he told talkSPORT.
Jackman continued: “I went to Carrow Road a couple of times, and I love the Canaries, and this is the year we’re going to get promoted. That’s my prediction.
“My prediction is Norwich and Wrexham are getting promoted this year.”
The 57-year-old, renowned for his role as Wolverine, previously had the chance to invest in Norwich in 2010 but turned down the opportunity.
He shared: “Sometimes I make big mistakes. I got a letter about a year ago saying, being such a huge Norwich City fan, would I like to be a celebrity investor? Like a small part-owner.

“I said: ‘I think that’s a little stretched, I’ve been to Carrow Road once, my mum took me’, so I decided not to invest. And since then they’re on a run, so what do I know?”
American billionaire Mark Attanasio is the majority shareholder at Carrow Road.
He bought into the club in 2022 and gradually built up his stake, taking majority control from Delia Smith and Michael Wynn Jones in August 2024.
Attanasio also runs the Major League Baseball team, the Milwaukee Brewers.

Sharing how he became a Norwich fan, Jackman explained he and his English parents used to watch the FA Cup in Australia at 3am when he felt he needed to pick a team.
Recalling the story, Jackman explained: “I said: ‘Dad, where are you from?’ He said: ‘London.’ I said: ‘So I’ll go for London?’
“He goes: ‘No, there’s a bunch of teams in London.’ I said: ‘Mum, where are you from?’ She went: ‘Norwich.’
“I went: ‘Is there a football team in Norwich?’ She went: ‘Yep’. I said: ‘That’s my team.’

“So it’s been slim pickings since then. We did win the Milk Cup in 1984. It’s not even called the Milk Cup anymore, but we’re on the rise.”
Norwich, under the guidance of former Rangers boss Philippe Clement, have had a tough start so far in the league but a good run in the League Cup.
Victories against MK Dons and Cardiff City have seen the Norfolk-based side reach the last 32, earning a tie at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City.
