‘I’m going to get the answer!’
The Prince of Wales jokingly set out to prise spoilers from Celebrity Traitors contestant Ross Kemp when the pair crossed paths during a visit to Somerset.
Both were in the county to unveil a new initiative with the National Emergencies Trust, for which Prince William serves as patron and Kemp acts as ambassador.
Addressing a group of young people in Ilminster, the Prince quipped: “I’m going to get the answer. Do you watch The Traitors?
“I’m going to get the answer to what happens, and I am going to tell you all later. Spoiler alert: today he’s here.”

Mr Kemp is currently appearing in the second series of the BBC programme, competing alongside 20 fellow celebrities for a £100,000 charity prize.
Prince William and the Princess of Wales are understood to be enthusiastic viewers of the show. The Prince previously told Stephen Lambert, the TV executive whose production company is behind the format, that his family were eagerly anticipating the first celebrity series.
Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, Celebrity Traitors tasks its contestants with identifying which players have been secretly designated as traitors, all while taking on challenges that build up the prize fund.
The stakes are high: should a traitor survive undetected through to the final, the faithful contestants, those who are not traitors, forfeit the entire pot, with the traitor claiming the full sum for their chosen charity.

Speaking before the visit, Mr Kemp stressed the importance of readiness: “Being prepared for anything is better than being unprepared.”
The actor pointed to the Covid-19 pandemic as evidence of the nation’s ability to unite in a crisis, while questioning how much more effective the response could have been with better preparation.
He highlighted that Somerset had been hit by serious flooding in recent years. “Bringing people together is what this is. This campaign is about making sure that they can pull together in the case of an emergency,” he said.

“We all have a role to play. We all have our own skills, and it’s about defining them.”
The Prince went on to meet members of the Ilminster Resilience Group, a local organisation that has helped residents cope with severe flooding in the area.
William also stopped by Sweet Surprise, a café that creates opportunities for adults with learning disabilities.
His final engagement of the day took him to Ilminster Fire Station, where he spent time with firefighters from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service. There, the Prince was briefed on advanced mapping and forecasting technology being deployed to tackle the increasing threat of wildfires.
