Gary Glitter charged with more child sexual offences as disgraced singer given court date



Gary Glitter has been charged on four counts of historical sexual offences, the Met Police announced today.

An allegation of historic sexual offences has taken place and Glitter, real name Paul Gadd, has been charged.


He has been charged on one count of unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13.

He has also been charged with three counts of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 14.

Gadd will appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, August 5 in relation to the above charges.

The charges relate to one victim, and the offences are alleged to have taken place between the years of 1978-1981 at a residential address in Kensington.

The allegations were first reported to the Met on Friday, January 9, 2025, and an investigation into the circumstances was launched.

Gadd was first interviewed on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, in relation to the investigation.

The victim is currently being supported by specialist officers, and they have been made aware of this update.
