Laura Woods unleashes fury at ‘odd’ troll after pregnant sports presenter faces abuse over appearance
ITV and TNT Sports presenter Laura Woods has hit out at an online troll on social media after receiving a vile direct message mocking her appearance during pregnancy.
The 39-year-old, who boasts 753,000 followers on Instagram, chose to expose the abusive message by posting a screenshot of it to her Stories.
Across the image, she urged her audience to join her in holding such individuals accountable, writing: “Let’s start shaming these odd men back…”
Ms Woods is no stranger to receiving hateful messages from anonymous accounts, yet she frequently refuses to let the abuse go unchallenged.

The troll had responded to a video in which Ms Woods shared her Premier League predictions for the upcoming season, sending her a message that simply asked: “Does your face move?”
The social media user signed off his message with a syringe emoji, appearing to allude to Ms Woods undergoing cosmetic procedures.
Rather than ignore the jibe, the presenter posted a makeup-free clip of herself wrinkling her brow, demonstrating clearly that her face does indeed move.
She accompanied the response with a pointed caption: “I wouldn’t mind… but seriously? Let’s not have a go at women either way eh? Especially not pregnant ones.”

The presenter has made clear on multiple occasions that she has no intention of quietly ignoring the torrent of online abuse directed her way.
Speaking on the Staying Relevant podcast, she revealed she has occasionally responded to trolls by targeting “people’s manhood,” insisting such replies are always retaliatory rather than unprovoked.
“Am I a sitting duck? Just because I’m a broadcaster, you’re allowed to say anything you want about me?” she said.
Ms Woods added: “And as soon as I reply and I will win, like I’m very stubborn about things like that I will f***ing fight to the death.”
Ms Woods, who is currently expecting her second child, had recently returned to the UK following a six-week stint in New York presenting ITV’s World Cup coverage.
Her fiancé Adam Collard, 30, and Ms Woods began their relationship in October 2023 before he proposed on a beach in St Ives, Cornwall, the following September.
The couple endured a devastating period last year when Ms Woods suffered a miscarriage at 11 weeks.
She fell pregnant again just a month later, and the pair subsequently welcomed their son Leo.

Mr Collard recently broke down in tears while recounting the miscarriage during an episode of Celebrity SAS, prompting Ms Woods to reflect publicly on what she described as “some very awful times.”
She has spoken candidly about the loss previously, saying: “Sometimes I look at Leo and I think of the baby we’ll never meet, while also knowing we wouldn’t have Leo without it happening. It’s a very confusing feeling.”
