Justin Timberlake offered fans an unusually candid look at his family life on Monday, uploading a carousel of photographs to Instagram that documented his summer alongside sons Silas, 11, and six-year-old Phineas.
The 45-year-old singer and actor, who shares both boys with wife Jessica Biel, 44, kept the caption characteristically brief: “Been outside.”
Mr Timberlake and Ms Biel, married since 2012, have long been guarded about exposing their children publicly, making even a handful of new family snapshots a notable occasion for followers.
The carousel featured younger son Phineas in several shots, including one where the six-year-old, who celebrated his birthday in July, could be spotted peering out from behind an enormous ice cream sundae, his eyes barely visible above the cherry on top.
Another image captured him sporting a black cowboy hat whilst watching a horse show from the front row, and a further snap showed father and son strolling across a golf course with matching bags slung over their shoulders.
Silas appeared in his own set of photographs, including one taken at Mercer Labs Museum of Art and Technology in Manhattan and another showing him alongside his brother and father gazing out of what appeared to be a hotel window.
The post also revealed what seemed to be a pirate-themed birthday celebration for Phineas, with prop skeletons decorating the party table and costumes set out for guests.
Ms Biel touched on her devotion to motherhood whilst promoting her film Matchbox at Comic-Con 2026.

Asked by E! News who she would shrink to miniature size if given the chance, she responded with a sweet answer.
“My kids! That would be great if they could just hang out right in a pocket, hanging with me all day long,” she replied.
Mr Timberlake has been equally open about how central parenthood is to his identity.
In a Father’s Day message this past June, he wrote: “Every year this day rolls around and reminds me how lucky I am to be a father, watching my sons grow into who they are is life’s greatest gift.”

Ms Biel also marked Father’s Day with her own tribute to the singer, describing him as a parent who transforms everyday moments into adventures and embraces the emotional side of raising children.
“Watching you be a father is one of my favourite things,” she wrote. “Our boys are so lucky to call you Dad.”
During a 2024 appearance on The Tonight Show to discuss his album Everything I Thought It Was, Mr Timberlake reflected on how becoming a father of two during the pandemic reshaped his creative process.

Host Jimmy Fallon offered a shout-out to Phineas, prompting Timberlake to gush about both sons before conceding with a laugh: “They run our house. It’s crazy.”
