‘How has it come to this?’

Holly Willoughby has come under fire after using the newest instalment of her YouTube series Together to sit down with OnlyFans creator Lily Phillips, 24.

The 45-year-old former This Morning host quizzed Ms Phillip during an unfiltered conversation about body image, insecurity and the adult entertainment world.

During the chat, Ms Willoughby argued that pornography presents a narrow and misleading view of female anatomy, leaving women feeling self-conscious about their own bodies.

“It’s actually what women’s bodies look like. My big issue with porn is where I just go, ‘Please just show normal f*****s,'” she declared.

Ms Phillips, who rose to prominence after sleeping with 101 men in a single day, agreed with Ms Willoughby’s stance.

The OnlyFans star revealed during the interview that she had undergone a “designer vagina” procedure, which can include labiaplasty.

Ms Phillips told Ms Willoughby she somewhat regretted the decision, saying she could have been “that representation in the adult industry for the big labia community.”

She explained that the procedure was driven by her “own insecurity” when she began her OnlyFans career at 19, conceding that consuming pornography may have played a role in shaping her feelings about her body.

Ms Willoughby responded by arguing that women who watch porn “are only seeing certain vaginas and vulvas” and consequently feel abnormal when confronted with a bit of “extra skin” on their own bodies.

Beyond the body image discussion, Ms Phillips spoke about her relatively ordinary upbringing in Derbyshire and her early fascination with the adult industry, as well as her efforts to craft what she considered the perfect body.

The pair also touched upon the unpleasant smells that accompany “sex marathons,” Ms Phillips’s relationship with fellow adult creator Bonnie Blue, and the darker aspects of working in an industry she described as riddled with difficulties.

Ms Phillips also signed off by suggesting “God” had guided her into the career path.

Ms Willoughby shared a clip of the conversation on her Instagram page, encouraging followers to comment “together” to receive the episode first.

However, the comments section was hijacked by angry fans who were keen to express their anger at Ms Willoughby for “platforming” such a discussion.

“Wow from This Morning to interviewing Lily… how times have changed,” one Instagram user mocked, while a second fumed: “Used to respect you Holly but encouraging other girls seeing this fame and money by watching this guy get a platform.”

“Why is she being given a platform?” a third questioned. “Why is this behaviour normalised? And bringing God into the conversation makes this ok?? Nothing holy about this at all.”

“How how how has it come to this holly? A new low,” a fourth asked, while a fifth hit out: “Why are we giving this woman a platform? Why are we allowing this on social media for young girls to see and think this behaviour is ok?!” (sic)

And a sixth fumed: “Don’t think you need to downgrade your guests to get views Holly, stick to pleasant content and you’ll build up an audience.”

However, Ms Phillips and Ms Willoughby’s discussion did receive praise from some. Hitting back at the furore, one follower weighed in: “I have to say fair play for this woman coming on here and being honest.”

“An insightful interview and I think Lily is incredibly articulate,” a second lauded, while a third added: “The interview itself is not platforming the behaviour. What makes these girls more intriguing is they don’t fit the bill of a typical adult entertainer in that they’re quite well spoken and dare I say it; they look demure….understated. When obviously their behaviour is anything but….”

Ms Willoughby’s Together debuted on July 28 with a premiere episode featuring Stanley Tucci.

Subsequent episodes have featured appearances from Nicole Appleton, Emma Bunton, Katherine Ryan and Joanne McNally.

The show is produced by Hungry Bear Media, the production company run by Ms Willoughby’s husband Dan Baldwin.

Critics did not hold back following its release, with some reviewers branding the format “cringe” and “boring” following its premiere.
