Meghan Markle has held early-stage conversations about appearing in a potential third series of Guy Ritchie’s Netflix hit The Gentlemen, in what would represent her first proper return to scripted television since departing Suits, GB News can confirm.
However, insiders stress that these discussions remain highly preliminary and essentially hypothetical, given that the streaming platform has yet to commission a third run of the show.
Its second series is due to land on September 3.
No particular character has been discussed for the Duchess of Sussex at this stage.

Meghan appearing in a high-profile role on The Gentlemen, which shoots in Britain, could generate significant publicity and draw fresh audiences to the series.
The move also fits neatly within existing business arrangements, as Meghan and Prince Harry maintain a first-look deal with Netflix encompassing both film and television development.
News of the possible casting emerged in the same week that the couple, who have resided in California for the past six years following their 2020 departure from the UK, revealed plans to return to Britain for an extended stay.

GETTYMeghan’s acting career began long before her marriage into the Royal Family, with her best-known role being Rachel Zane in the legal drama Suits.
Since relocating to the United States, her screen work has largely centred on unscripted content produced under the couple’s Netflix arrangement, including the documentary series Harry & Meghan and the lifestyle programme With Love, Meghan.
She also presented the Archetypes podcast for the platform.
More recently, she made a guest appearance on MasterChef Australia. Last year, it was confirmed that she would feature in a cameo role in the Amazon MGM Studios film Close Personal Friends.
The second series of The Gentlemen picks up one year after Eddie, played by Theo James, and Susie, portrayed by Kaya Scodelario, began collaborating within Ray Winstone’s character Bobby’s overseas criminal operation.
As the pair seek to grow their enterprise, Bobby’s increasingly erratic decisions force them to weigh whether to intervene or risk everything.
The ensemble for series two features Daniel Ings, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Hugh Bonneville, Chris Eubank Jr and Maya Jama among others.
Mr Ritchie created the show and co-writes it with Matthew Read, with both also directing alongside Eran Creevy. The series is produced by Moonage Pictures, part of ITV Studios, and Miramax Television.
