The Vardys, the ITV reality series following Jamie and Rebekah Vardy’s family life, will not be returning for a second run at present, with the couple’s future plans still uncertain.
Discussions between the family and the broadcaster are continuing, but no commitment has been made to further episodes.
The key stumbling block is that Mr Vardy’s next footballing destination remains undecided after he departed Italian Serie A side US Cremonese at the conclusion of last season, leaving the family without a settled base.
A source close to the situation told The Sun: “From the family’s perspective, there are no plans at this exact time for The Vardys to return for a second series but that’s only because a lot is up in the air for the family.”

The three-episode series, which first aired on ITV in June 2026, documented the Vardy clan as they uprooted from Leicester to begin a fresh chapter in Italy.
At its core, the programme followed Mr Vardy’s bid to silence his critics on the pitch at the age of 38, playing for Serie A underdogs Cremonese.
Beyond the footballing storyline, the show also offered viewers a window into the family’s domestic life abroad.
It captured everything from house-hunting and school searches to cultural adjustments and unexpected setbacks.

The source added: “Certainly, a second series couldn’t have been about a continued Italian adventure which was at the heart of series one because Jamie left Cremonese at the end of last season.”
However, the door has not been shut entirely, with the insider noting: “Nobody’s ruling out a second series but a lot of it depends on where the family will be and what they will be doing.
“At the moment, that is still up in the air.”

ITV, for its part, appears keen to keep the relationship alive.
A channel source praised the programme’s performance, stating: “The Vardys continues to be a success on ITVX, regularly featuring in the top five.”
The broadcaster confirmed that the original commission was always intended as a three-part run covering a specific period in the family’s lives, adding that conversations about potential future episodes are ongoing.
When ITV officially announced the series back in April, the broadcaster promised “no-holds-barred, intimate access” to the family.

GB News has approached ITV for a comment on the recent reports.
The couple have three children together: Sofia, Finley, and Olivia. Ms Vardy also has two children from a previous relationship, while Jamie has one, bringing the total to six across the blended family.
All five of the children who live with the couple featured in the series as they adapted to their new surroundings in Italy.
