Kelly Osbourne clashes with mum Sharon over Tommy Robinson support as she declares: ‘I don’t agree!’
Kelly Osbourne has publicly distanced herself from her mother Sharon’s backing of Tommy Robinson’s mass demonstration.
The 41-year-old made her position clear when questioned about Sharon’s endorsement of Mr Robinson’s Unite The Kingdom rally.
“What? I don’t agree. I don’t agree with my mum, no,” she said.
She acknowledged the emotional difficulty of the disagreement.

“That’s one thing that I can say I don’t agree with her on. It’s hard because I love my mum, but I also have to understand that she’s entitled to her own opinions as well,” Kelly added.
She went on to describe political differences within families as particularly challenging.
“It’s really hard when it comes to politics and things like that, but that’s not for me,” she told Attitude.
The comments were made on the National Television Awards red carpet on Tuesday evening.

Beyond the disagreement over Mr Robinson, Kelly offered a passionate declaration of her support for LGBTQ+ communities.
“The LGBT community means everything to me. I wouldn’t be me without them,” she told Attitude magazine, adding: “It was the trans community that taught me about bravery.”
Kelly revealed she had always believed her mother shared her views and felt “sad” upon discovering they might not see eye to eye on trans issues.
She attributed the divide to a gap in her mother’s experience rather than any malice.

“I don’t know if my mum knows enough trans people to make a fair judgement on anything to do with that sort of thing. Whereas for me that is my world,” she said.
“And to be born in a body that doesn’t belong to you, I couldn’t imagine anything worse.”
Sharon has previously suggested age restrictions on gender-affirming care decisions, floating the idea that it could be a phase.
Kelly maintained when she discusses these matters privately with her mother, “she gets it,” insisting Sharon’s remarks are “not in any way against” the trans community.
Sharon’s support for Mr Robinson first emerged in May, when the 43-year-old was using social media to promote his anti-immigration rally in London.
The 73-year-old responded to his post with the words: “See you at the march.”
As a result, Centrepoint, the youth homelessness charity, severed its relationship with Sharon after her comment surfaced.
The organisation stated Mr Robinson’s event “does not align with our values”, emphasising its long record of helping young people regardless of background, ethnicity or religion.

Although Centrepoint thanked Sharon for her involvement in its Omaze campaign, it confirmed she was not a formal ongoing ambassador and that there were no plans for future collaboration.
Sharon has become increasingly vocal in her political positions in recent months.
Earlier this year, the Conservative Party approached her about standing as their candidate in Birmingham’s local elections.
She declared on Instagram that she intended to relocate to Birmingham and enter the ballot for a council seat.
The post was subsequently taken down from the platform.
Although Sharon has no home in the Midlands, she retains deep ties to the region through her late husband Ozzy, who grew up in the Aston area.
