Mariah Carey sends fans into meltdown as she shares Christmas announcement: ‘I’m crying!’
Mariah Carey is heading to the UK this winter for a short run of festive concerts spanning three cities.
The 57-year-old pop superstar revealed on Monday that her Christmastime tour will touch down in Birmingham, London and Manchester across late November and early December 2026.
The dates represent Ms Carey’s first dedicated UK Christmas shows in nearly a decade, following her 2018 All I Want For Christmas Is You Tour across Britain and Europe.
A single night in Malta will round off the European leg of the tour.
Audiences can expect a spectacular holiday production built around the singer’s celebrated seasonal repertoire, global hits and fan favourites, headlined by her iconic 1994 anthem that has become virtually inseparable from the festive season itself.
The tour kicks off at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on Friday, November 27 before moving to The O2 in London on Monday, November 30.
Manchester’s Co-Op Live will host the final UK date on Wednesday, December 2 after which Ms Carey will travel to Malta’s MFCC venue near Valletta.
Sharing the news with fans on Instagram, the singer wrote: “My Christmastime Tour is coming to the UK & Malta! I can’t wait to celebrate with you all!”
The news prompted a flood of excitable responses from fans, many of whom took to the comments to share their enthusiasm.
One penned: “Screaming crying throwing up, I’ll be there.”
“Just had a minor heart attack,” a second posted.
“OMG OMG OMG. I’m literally crying right now Thank you so much Mimi @MariahCarey I love you so much,” a third wrote.

So happy for the UK and MaltaTickets will be available to the general public from 10am on Friday, September 25.
The announcement follows Ms Carey’s Christmastime In Las Vegas residency last year, as well as her previous festive arena tours in other territories around the world.
It has been a landmark year for Ms Carey, who performed at the opening ceremony of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.

Her sixteenth studio album, Here For It All, her first record in seven years following 2018’s Caution, debuted inside the top ten of the Billboard Hot 200 and simultaneously claimed the top spot on four other Billboard charts, including Top Album Sales and Top R&B Albums.
Singles from the record include Sugar Sweet featuring Shenseea and Kehlani, and Type Dangerous, alongside collaborations with Anderson Paak and The Clark Sisters.
Her 1994 hit All I Want For Christmas Is You, meanwhile, continues to dominate the festive charts.
The track first reached number one in the UK in 2020 and has placed inside the top five every December since, now holding a 10x Platinum certification.
Ms Carey’s UK chart history includes three number one singles: her festive classic, Without You — also from 1994 — and a 2000 rendition of Phil Collins’ Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now) recorded with Westlife.
Her discography features some of pop music’s most acclaimed records, among them 1993’s Music Box, 1995’s Daydream and the 1994 seasonal album Merry Christmas.
This July, she released an expanded 30th anniversary edition of Daydream featuring unreleased bonus tracks, live recordings and remixes.
A five-time Grammy winner with 34 nominations, Ms Carey has shifted more than 200 million albums globally and holds 19 Billboard Hot 100 number ones, 18 of them self-written — more than any other solo artist in history.
She was also among the first recipients of the BRIT Billion Award in 2023.
