Rufus Hound ties the knot with EastEnders star Sally Hodgkiss as comedian shares cheeky wedding post
Rufus Hound, 47, has announced he and EastEnders actress Sally Hodgkiss, 42, have tied the knot following a three-year relationship.
The star broke the news over the weekend via a post on Bluesky, where he shared an image of a wedding countdown calendar that had been updated to indicate the big day was now behind them.
In typically cheeky fashion, he accompanied the image with the caption: “Everyone have a good weekend?”
The marriage marks a new chapter for Mr Hound, who found love with Ms Hodgkiss six years after the breakdown of his first marriage.

The pair first got engaged in 2024 following a memorable live proposal on stage.
Mr Hound proposed during the Improvathon at Wilton’s Music Hall in 2024, describing the moment in a post on X at the time.
He wrote: “In the past two years @sallyhodgkiss has redefined how completely loved or seen I ever believed someone could make me feel.
“We talk and nourish each other in a way that’s almost unbelievable to me. Last night, I asked her to marry me.”

He recounted how Ms Hodgkiss had been taking her final bow when he felt compelled to act, stepping onto the stage beside her and dropping to one knee.
She was initially baffled, he explained, as the pair had been playing siblings in the show.
“It was only when I spoke her name she realised what was happening,” he said.
He added that his children were “delighted” by the news, while his ex-wife also offered her congratulations.

Mr Hound married his first wife, Beth Johnson, in Las Vegas in 2007, and the couple went on to have two children together, son Alby and daughter Hilda.
Their marriage came to an end in 2020, with the comedian confirming the split in a statement that October.
He said: “In April, Beth and I made the sad decision to end our marriage.”
He stressed that the pair retained deep affection for one another despite the separation, adding: “We will always have much love and respect for each other.
“Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends.”
Mr Hound also emphasised that their children would continue to be the couple’s foremost concern, stating: “As always, our family will remain our number one priority.”
Ms Hodgkiss played the role of Steph, a waitress at the Walford East restaurant, when she appeared in EastEnders in 2019.
Beyond the BBC soap, she has credits including an appearance in Casualty and a range of theatre work, and has also performed stand-up comedy.

The couple’s relationship first became public knowledge when Mr Hound posted about his new partner on X, sharing photographs from their time together at Glastonbury alongside effusive declarations of love.
He wrote: “No-one has ever loved me as much as this woman and the best bit is she’s all things wonderful.”
He added: “She makes everything fun and good all the time. She’s sunshine and snogging and smiling all at once. It was the BEST time.”
Ms Hodgkiss described him as the “best person” she had ever met.
