Ben Leo flooded with congratulations as he marks major GB News milestone with heartfelt post: ‘Onwards!’
Ben Leo has celebrated one year since GB News launched The Late Show Live from the United States, thanking the team and viewers who have supported the programme over the past 12 months.
The People’s Channel Chief US Correspondent marked the milestone on Instagram with a carousel of photographs documenting his year Stateside.

“ONE YEAR AGO last night @gbnews officially planted the British flag on American broadcasting soil and launched The Late Show Live,” he wrote.
Ben went on to pay tribute to colleagues working across Washington and London who have helped keep the programme on air despite the transatlantic time difference.
“Thank you to the GB News crew in DC and London who are turning their lives upside down, staying up until four and five in the morning to get the show on air,” he said.
The presenter individually thanked members of the team before joking that the channel’s digital staff had “probably had quite enough of me for 12 months”.

Ben also reserved a special message for those who have tuned into the programme over the past year.
“And to YOU, the viewers and listeners, who have given us so much support and loyalty over the past year. THANK YOU,” he wrote, before signing off: “Onwards!” (sic)
The anniversary comes after an eventful year for Ben, who has reported from across the United States as GB News’ Chief US Correspondent while broadcasting The Late Show Live from Washington DC.
His assignments have taken him beyond the studio, including joining US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers on a dawn raid in Florida as they hunted for a Guatemalan national accused of cross-border cocaine trafficking.
Ben accompanied officers during the operation, which saw several other suspects detained, before officials later informed him that the primary target had also been taken into custody.
Another particularly personal moment came in April when Ben travelled to Florida with his son Jude to witness Nasa’s historic Artemis II launch from Cape Canaveral.
The presenter was moved to tears as he held his son while the rocket blasted towards the Moon on the first crewed lunar mission in more than 50 years.
Before the launch, Ben had interviewed Jude on air and asked his son whether he wanted to become a “space hero”.
As the rocket soared into the sky, Jude cheered from his father’s arms while Ben became visibly emotional at witnessing the historic moment alongside him.
Ben has also reported from the White House and travelled across the country, covering some of the biggest political, cultural and sporting stories affecting both America and Britain.
The Late Show Live broadcasts from Washington, DC, bringing viewers the latest developments from the United States and examining what they mean for audiences back in Britain.
Viewers flooded Ben’s anniversary post with congratulations and praise for the programme. “Fabulous coverage from you guys & girls,” one follower wrote, while another simply declared: “Love your show.”
