Presley Gerber, the model and eldest child of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has died at the age of 27.
He passed away on Sunday at a rehabilitation facility in Los Angeles, according to records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. No cause of death has been disclosed.
Allie Jenkins, a spokeswoman for Cindy and Rande, confirmed the news.
“The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time,” Ms Jenkins said.

Presley’s father, a prominent entrepreneur, co-founded the Casamigos tequila brand alongside actor George Clooney.
His younger sister, Kaia Gerber, is also a well-known model.
Born in California in 1999, Presley had battled addiction and mental health difficulties for much of his adult life.
IMG Models signed him when he was just 15, and he stepped onto the runway for the first time a year later at Moschino’s Resort show in Los Angeles, aged 16.

His career quickly gathered momentum, with Presley going on to work with some of fashion’s most prestigious houses, including Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta and Celine.
In 2018, he featured alongside his sister Kaia in a Calvin Klein campaign.
That same year, he appeared with his mother in Pepsi’s Super Bowl advert, a nod to Cindy’s iconic 1992 commercial for the drinks brand, filmed 26 years earlier.
“We’re a really tight family, so it was just like going to work with one of your friends. It was so fun and easy,” he told People Magazine at the time.

In 2019, Presley was arrested for driving under the influence.
He received a sentence of three years’ probation and was required to complete a DUI programme, along with two days of community service.
In the years that followed, he became increasingly candid about his battles with depression, addiction and dependency on prescription medication.
He shared updates about his recovery journey on social media, and in a post from December 2025, since deleted, he discussed several depressant medications he had been prescribed for panic attacks.
“[Mental health] is an issue,” Presley said during an appearance on the Studio 22 podcast in 2023.
“It is such a big part of my life. It’s a 24/7 job, and there’s so much to it.”
He expressed a desire to use his experiences to support others facing similar challenges.
“That’s really what I want to do: help people, whether you’re depressed, you’re struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body. I mean it could be anything, and there’s no judgment,” he said on the same podcast.

Presley also said he hoped sharing his story might make a difference, even for just one person, and that he wanted to help others “get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life.”
In the September 2026 edition of American Vogue, his sister Kaia addressed what she described as her brother’s “decade-long struggle with drug addiction.”
She reflected on the toll it took on the entire family.
“When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,” she said.

“I think that’s also why I started to self-identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help. Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing.”
Despite his struggles, Presley frequently spoke of the strong bond he shared with his family.
He had his sister Kaia’s name inked on his arm, and in 2018 described their relationship warmly after their joint Calvin Klein campaign.
“We’re a close family, especially me and my sister, so it’s definitely cool,” he told People Magazine. “We get to travel together half of the time, so it makes it a lot less lonely.”
In July, Crawford marked her son’s 27th birthday by posting childhood photographs of him on Instagram.
“I’m so proud of the man you’ve become, but I’ll always see you as my little boy! Love you,” she wrote in the accompanying caption.
