Beats 360 arrive with swappable earcups and 1.75x more noise-cancellation
Beats 360 are a brand-new pair of flagship headphones, with a price tag of £299.95.
These noise-cancelling headphones have been redesigned from the ground up. For the first time for the brand, Beats 360 come equipped with interchangeable earcups and headband cushions, so you can pick and mix to customise the headphones with different colours and cushion types to match a particular look, activity, or mood.
It’s not something we’ve seen very often from flagship headphone manufacturers, but it was one of the standout design flourishes of the Dyson OnTrac. At launch, Beats is offering so-called Cushion Kits, which include both earcup and headband cushions, in a choice of Black, Cloud, Pink, Sky, Navy and Volt.
You can swap the headband and earcup cushions to create unique colour combinations

It also offers earcups in engineered leather — dubbed UltraPlush by Beats — in either Black or Cloud. This is the same premium material found in Beats Studio Pro and Beats Solo 4. For a limited time, Beats is selling its Cushion Kits for just £9.95. But stock up on these swappable accessories fast, as the price increases to £49.95 at a later date.
Aside from the brand-new, customisable design of these over-ear headphones, Beats 360 deliver the “best sound and most refined comfort in Beats history,” the US brand promises.
That sound bolstered performance is the result of a precision-engineered acoustic system and custom-designed drivers developed exclusively for these headphones.

And you should have no trouble hearing that improved sound performance, thanks to Beats’ most powerful Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) technology yet.
According to Beats, which was acquired by Apple 14 years ago for £2.2 billion, the eight microphones included in the design offer up to 1.75x more noise cancellation than Beats Studio Pro.
Like recent AirPods, a dedicated Transparency mode lets the outside world in, so you can listen to tannoy announcements and have a quick conversation without removing the Beats 360.
These new headphones arrive with support for Personalised Spatial Audio, which monitors the movements of your head in real-time using an accelerometer and gyroscope built into the left earcup. This ensures that it can adjust the immersive, surround-sound-like audio as you tilt, shift, or move your head accordingly.
Expect 32-hours of battery life with Active Noise-Cancellation (ANC) and Adaptive EQ enabled

Beats 360 also supports Dolby Atmos when listening to music, podcasts, film and television.
Beats 360 are the first over-ear Beats headphones with sweat and water resistance with an IPX4 rating. Built to withstand exposure to moisture, rain and heat, these headphones should be able to withstand a trip to the gym or a sudden downpour.
Like the newly-announced Sony WH-1000XM4C headphones, these new Beats offer a fold-flat design to ensure they’re easy to take anywhere.
Oliver Schusser, Apple Vice President of Music, Sports and Beats, said: “Beats didn’t just participate in the rise of over-ear headphones – we helped define the category. Beats 360 are the next chapter of that story.
“We combined our most advanced acoustic performance ever with a perfectly balanced design that moves effortlessly with you. And with our new interchangeable cushions, our customers can express themselves in a way no other over-ear headphones can.”
While Beats is now owned by Apple, the Beats 360 are powered by a custom chipset that’s designed to work seamlessly across both Apple and Android devices.
If you own an iPhone, you’ll benefit from one-touch pairing, hands-free voice commands with the wake phrase “Hey Siri”, automatic switching between Apple devices, audio sharing to connect two wireless earbuds to watch the same show or movie on an iPhone or iPad, FaceTime calls with Spatial Audio, personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking and support to see the real-time location of your headphones in the Find My app.
With an Android phone or tablet, Beats 360 supports audio switch, Fast Pair for instant pairing with your device, and real-time location data via Google’s Find Hub app. Regardless of the mobile platform you use, Beats has equipped the back of each earcup with simple controls.
The right ear cup features a tactile volume rocker and a play/pause button for music playback and calls, while the left ear cup has a power button and a dedicated listening mode button.
Expect 32-hours of battery life with Active Noise-Cancellation (ANC) and Adaptive EQ enabled. When you run out of power, a five-minute charge provides up to 1 hour of playback via USB-C charging.

Beats 360 are available to order from today for £299.95 from apple.com in four core colours – Black, Cloud, Pink and Sky – each including matching performance knit ear cup and headband cushions. The first headphones will be delivered from September 24, which is also when you’ll be able to see them in-store in more than 100 countries.
The Beats 360 are the new flagship headphones from the audio brand, replacing the Beats Studio Pro that first launched in mid-2023. While no longer the top-tier noise-cancelling cans from Beats, these headphones will remain in the lineup at a new price of £249.95 from apple.com and at Apple Store locations.
