Scarlett Moffatt reveals ‘hardest month of our lives’ after two devastating family deaths
Scarlett Moffatt has revealed that she and fiancé Scott Dobinson have endured the most painful period of their lives after two devastating bereavements struck in quick succession.
During July, Mr Dobinson’s mother Janice passed away, and less than a week later, Ms Moffatt’s grandfather also died.
The couple, who are expecting their second child together, shared their heartbreak publicly over the weekend.
The Gogglebox star, who already has a son named Jude with Mr Dobinson, has been navigating the double loss while pregnant.

PAIn an Instagram post shared alongside photographs of herself, Mr Dobinson, and Jude, Ms Moffatt described the depth of their anguish.
“It’s been the hardest month of our lives, so grateful we have each other,” she wrote.
“I now understand that grief is really just love. It’s all the love you still want to give, but no longer can.”
Ms Moffatt also spoke about how the tragedy had strengthened her relationship with Mr Dobinson, whom she has known since the age of 17.

“When grief arrives, it has a way of making you hold on to each other even tighter,” she added.
When Ms Moffatt’s mother first died last month, the TV star paid an emotional tribute to her on social media.
“My heart is broken for Scott and all of his family at the loss of his mam Janice,” she wrote, describing her as “the kindest mother-in-law and one of the loveliest people I’ve ever known.”
Ms Moffatt expressed particular sorrow that Janice would not be there to welcome their second baby into the world.
She also praised Janice as a wonderful grandmother to Jude, calling her “the best Nanna.”
Despite their grief, the couple have been attempting to seek moments of happiness through Ms Moffatt’s pregnancy and their time with Jude.
Fans flocked to to Ms Moffatt’s post to share messages of condolence and solidarity.
“Sending so much love. I’ve lost both my parents, as has my husband,” one person penned.
Another wrote: “Make those memories, take those photos. Those we have lost will always live in our hearts.”
A third fan said: “Sending so much love Scarlett. Have been thinking of you.”

Ms Moffatt rounded off her heartfelt message with words of comfort for anyone going through a similar experience.
“Sending so much love to everyone who knows this feeling. Be gentle with yourselves,” she urged.
