Katie Price blasted by film director after she snubbed premiere of movie role debut: ‘Disgusting!’
The director of action comedy Jackie the Stripper has publicly attacked Katie Price for allegedly failing to attend the film’s Leicester Square premiere last month and refusing to take part in promotional efforts for the release.
Michael Head, who directed the Jack the Ripper-inspired strip club thriller, claimed the 48-year-old former glamour model had initially “begged” him for the role of a character called Lisa — her first film appearance — only to abandon her obligations once the project was completed.
The movie landed on Amazon Prime this week, where it is available to rent or purchase, but Ms Price has reportedly not contributed to any publicity surrounding the release.
Her representatives have maintained that she was under no obligation to promote the film.

PAMr Head did not hold back when speaking to the Daily Mail about Ms Price’s conduct, describing it as “disgusting.”
He stressed the broader purpose behind the project, stating: “This is about female empowerment. This is about all the things that we’re making a film for.
“And Katie’s just snubbed it, which is not really what’s done.”
His publicist echoed the frustration, revealing that every other member of the ensemble had rallied behind the film’s release.

“Michael has reached out to all the cast to publicise the release of the film on Amazon and all the cast have got involved in promoting Jackie the Stripper, apart from Katie Price,” the publicist told the publication.
The cast also includes Patsy Kensit, Kimberly Wyatt, Towie’s Chloe Meadows and Jamie Lomas, all of whom reportedly fulfilled their promotional commitments.
The circumstances surrounding her no-show at the July premiere have raised particular eyebrows.
According to reports, Ms Price’s management had confirmed just four days before the event that she would be there.

No explanation was offered by her team for the last-minute withdrawal, though she was said to have returned to Dubai two days ahead of the screening.
A source claimed the cancellation was especially frustrating given that her attendance had been publicly confirmed on several occasions.
The same source alleged that Ms Price had even directly messaged Mr Head on May 6 requesting her ticket for the event.
“No reason for her withdrawal has been provided other than her decision to remain abroad,” the source told the Daily Mail.

Jackie the Stripper blends the infamous Jack the Ripper mythology with the world of strip clubs, resulting in what its makers describe as an action comedy centred on female empowerment.
Ms Price’s team has pushed back against the criticism, telling the Daily Mail that promotional work was not among her contractual requirements for the project.
The row comes during a particularly chaotic chapter in Ms Price’s personal life.
The mother of five has been dealing with the fallout from the shock disappearance and imprisonment of her Dubai-based husband, Lee Andrews, this summer.
She has reportedly been left “all over the place” by the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Mr Andrews’ whereabouts and is said to be contemplating yet another cosmetic procedure as a result.
