Cruz Beckham fires back at cruel ‘ugly’ swipe with hilarious response as fans rally behind star

Instagram users were quick to praise the youngest Beckham son for refusing to take himself too seriously in the face of the harsh remark.

The episode began when a brief, silent clip of a young David and Victoria Beckham chatting in the back of a car surfaced on X.

The ten-second footage, showcasing the couple often known as Posh and Becks, has amassed over 15.7 million views, along with 16,000 likes and roughly 2,800 bookmarks.

An Olivia Rodrigo fan account boasting more than 10,000 followers then shared the video with a pointed observation: “It’s bizarre that a couple with such an insanely stunning face card only ended up with ugly kids.”

That tweet exploded, attracting 121,000 likes and spreading rapidly across multiple platforms.

The content was subsequently picked up by the Instagram account Mostly Humor, which commands a following of over 158,000.

Its caption noted that David and Victoria have long been regarded as a couple who only grow more attractive with time, while acknowledging that their children faced “basically unfair” genetic expectations from the outset.

That repost garnered 36,800 likes and upwards of 1,700 comments.

One fan commented: “Omg what?! The ENTIRE FAMILY IS GORGEOUS!”

Another added: “Romeo’s face card is top tier.”

“Their kids look exactly like them,” penned a third.

Someone else said: “Their daughter is a little beauty.”

However, not everyone reacted as kindly.

David and Victoria, frequently described as Britain’s alternative royalty, share four children: Brooklyn, 27, Romeo, 23, Cruz, and 15-year-old Harper.

Their career paths have largely diverged from those of their famous parents.

Brooklyn, after stints in photography, cookery and modelling, has settled into content creation alongside his wife Nicola Peltz.

Romeo, the only sibling to briefly attempt professional football, now works in high-end fashion.

Cruz fronts the band Cruz Beckham and the Breakers as lead vocalist and guitarist, whilst Harper remains the most private of the four.

The light-hearted exchange comes against the backdrop of the bitter Beckham family feud, which officially spilled into the public eye in January when Brooklyn Peltz Beckham issued an explosive six-page statement about his parents.

The eldest Beckham son made a series of damning allegations against David and Victoria, accusing them of attempting to control him and claiming the family placed “Brand Beckham” above genuine relationships.

Brooklyn also made clear that he had no desire to reconcile with his family, insisting he was standing up for himself after years of remaining silent.

A number of his most striking allegations centred on his 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz, including claims that Victoria pulled out of making the bride’s wedding dress and “hijacked” the couple’s planned first dance.

Brooklyn alleged that singer Marc Anthony instead called his mother onto the stage, before claiming Victoria danced “very inappropriately” on him in front of hundreds of guests, leaving him feeling humiliated.

He also accused his parents of pressuring him over a prenuptial agreement and alleged that negative stories about Nicola had been deliberately planted in the media in an effort to damage their relationship.

David and Victoria were allegedly left heartbroken by their son’s public accusations but have largely refrained from directly responding to the claims.

David later spoke more generally about the pitfalls of social media during an appearance at the World Economic Forum, remarking that children are “allowed to make mistakes”, while Victoria has continued to publicly express her love for her children.
