Katie Price fires back with furious statement after being accused of ‘hijacking’ daughter’s red carpet moment
Katie Price has responded to claims she “hijacked” daughter Princess Andre’s Red Carpet moment at the National Television Awards due to her dramatic makeup look.
Ms Price, 48, stunned fans at the celebration as she stood next to Princess, 19, and her son Junior, 21.
Ms Price appeared at the awards ceremony with an extremely glam make-up choice, having enlisted the help of influencer Made By Mitchell.
The look saw her sporting glittery eyeshadow, heavy eyeliner and pronounced lip liner.

Completing the sharp style, her hair was also gelled back. Ms Price wore a white shirt, lacey hot pants, tights and heels.
“I didn’t hijack it at all,” she declared on her podcast, The Katie Price Show. “They both had individual pictures, and then they wanted a little family picture, that’s it.”
She also rejected reports suggesting she had rushed past journalists to reach her children.
“And not only that, they said I skipped all the interviews to get to Junior and Princess. Skipped? We said we weren’t doing interviews!” she insisted.

Her sister Sophie, who also attended the awards, backed up Ms Price’s account during the podcast.
“I saw a headline this morning about ‘Katie Price hijacks Princess’s red carpet appearance.’
“I’m like, ‘Oh, for f**k sake’,” Sophie said, before clarifying that the family photographs were entirely natural.
Ms Price questioned why the media had taken issue with a mother greeting her children at a public event.

PA“And obviously what am I going to do if I see my kids on the red carpet and they see me? What, are we going to stay away from each other?” she asked. “Why do people pick up on it? If it was anyone else, they wouldn’t care.”
Ms Price’s appearance at the ceremony had already generated significant controversy.
She had undergone cosmetic surgery in Brussels just one day before the event, and enlisted make-up to disguise the resulting swelling and bruising with heavy, glittery eyeliner and lipliner, while her hair was slicked back.
Her outfit, a white shirt paired with high-waisted lacey hot pants, tights and heels, also drew attention, with one source telling the Mirror it appeared as though she had “stepped out in her underwear.”

Price praised Mitchell’s work on the podcast, saying he had done “an amazing job covering all this up.”
However, Mitchell himself faced a separate backlash, with drag queen Jay Colby among those accusing him of applying foundation far darker than Price’s natural skin tone, describing it as effectively “painting another white woman in blackface.”
Price also revealed on the podcast that she had guided Princess’s choice of outfit for the evening, encouraging her daughter to opt for something “completely different” that would make her “look like a princess.”
Though initially hesitant, Princess ultimately followed her mother’s suggestion and wore a striking blue gown. “She loved it, and got so many comments about it,” Price said. “So thanks to Mommy, Princess listened to me, and I thought she looked amazing. Junior’s just handsome anyway.”
Notably, Princess chose to share only photographs with her brother Junior on her Instagram feed, leaving her mother out of her posts from the evening.
Price is also navigating the breakdown of her marriage to fourth husband Lee Andrews, whom she wed in January. She confirmed the split on the podcast but declined to elaborate, saying only: “Everything is fresh at the minute.”
