ITV Emmerdale’s Bradley Johnson shares wedding news after eloping amid upcoming soap exit
Emmerdale actor Bradley Johnson has revealed that he secretly wed his partner Sammie Johnstone after the pair eloped to Nashville, Tennessee.
The 29-year-old, best known for portraying Vinny Dingle on the ITV soap, announced the happy news on Instagram on Sunday.
In a video posted to his account, the newlyweds sat together on a wooden swing bench, beaming as they unveiled their marriage certificate from an envelope.
Bradley captioned the clip: “Eloped to Nashville. Married the love of my life.”
For the occasion, Sammie chose a white minidress paired with brown cowboy boots, wearing her blonde hair in a half-up style.
Her new husband cut a sharp figure in a cream waistcoat, beige trousers, white shirt and tan tie.
The couple’s romance began in August 2021, and Bradley proposed during a trip to Rome in October 2023, with the pair posing for a photo in front of the Colosseum showing off Sammie’s engagement ring.
They went on to welcome their son, Albie Jake Johnson, in November 2024.

The wedding came nearly three years after the engagement, and Bradley documented their Nashville adventure in the days beforehand.
He described the marriage process as “dead easy,” joking with Sammie that once she signed the paperwork, she would be “bound to me for the rest of your life.”
Sammie quipped that she was “scared” at the thought.
In an earlier post teasing the nuptials, the actor wrote: “Coming soon…..Mr and Mrs Johnson.”
The announcement was met with an outpouring of well-wishes from his Emmerdale castmates.
Lisa Riley, who portrays his on-screen mother Mandy Dingle, wrote: “Love love love love and more love coming your way!!! CONGRATULATIONS, many years of happiness. Love from Me and your Uncle AL.”
Jay Kontzle, who plays Billy Fletcher, added: “Congrats brilliant this mate! Wishing you and your family the very best x.”
Laura Norton, known for her role as Kerry Wyatt, offered: “Congratulations to you lovely human being.”

Amelia Flanagan, formerly April Windsor on the show, said: “So happy for you both!! Congratulations.”
Bradley Riches, who plays Vinny’s on-screen boyfriend Lewis Barton, was particularly enthusiastic, posting: “MY FAVS I LOVE U SO MUCH.”
Joe-Warren Plant and Eden Taylor-Draper also chimed in with their congratulations.
The joyful announcement arrived just months after Mr Johnson was axed from Emmerdale in May as part of a wave of ITV cost-cutting measures that have been dubbed a cast “bloodbath.”
He had been part of the soap since 2019, joining alongside Lisa Riley when she returned as Mandy Dingle.
A source told The Sun On Sunday: “Bradley is a very popular member of the cast and especially close with his on-screen Dingle family.”
The insider added: “Everyone is shocked that bosses decided to axe him but it’s all part of the ITV cuts and they still need to trim back the cast. They are making less episodes so don’t need as many characters.”
Ms Riley, 50, was reportedly “devastated” by the decision, with a source noting: “She adores Bradley and they have such a close bond. It just shows that no-one is safe.”
