Christian Horner has no concerns of being sacked by Red Bull in the next seven days following his investigation at Red Bull with his wife Geri Halliwell standing by his side in Bahrain.

The Red Bull team principal was cleared by the internal investigation at Red Bull earlier this week, but has continued to face questions after alleged screenshots of messages between Horner and the female employee were leaked by an anonymous email.

Horner has since responded with a firm statement that he won’t be commenting on “anonymous speculation from unknown sources” in response to the alleged leaked evidence.

And he was supported by his wife, Geri Halliwell, on Saturday for the season-opening race in Bahrain.

It was the first time the Spice Girl singer had appeared in public since the allegations against Horner were first made.

She was by his side at the end of the race as well with Max Verstappen clinching victory with ease.

Horner praised his team after the race for somehow improving on their dominant car from last year.

He was then inevitably asked about his own future having been pictured with Red Bull’s majority shareholder Chalerm Yoovidhya before the race.

When asked whether he was confident of keeping his job at Red Bull for next week’s race in Jeddah, Horner told Sky Sports: “Absolutely.

“I wouldn’t be here otherwise.”

Horner was also defiant when asked whether the team were united off the track.

He added: “We are a very strong team. We have got tremendous support, tremendous partners and great shareholders behind us as well.

“You don’t achieve this kind of result by not being united.”
