Helen Flanagan hits back at critics with cheeky message about clothing choices: ‘Never bought a drink’
Helen Flanagan has fired back at online critics who take issue with her clothing choices as a mother of three, posting a playful video to Instagram.
The 35-year-old former Coronation Street actress filmed herself in the back of a taxi, smiling and pouting while wearing a plunging black Agent Provocateur corset with white lace trim.
She lip-synced to an audio clip declaring: “And sometimes, the outfit is t*tty, sometimes the outfit is just breast. You understand what I’m saying?”
In her caption, the Bury-born star mockingly quoted her detractors before delivering a cheeky punchline: “Your a mum you shouldn’t dress like that. Never bought a drink in my life.” (sic)
Supporters flooded the comments, with one fan branding her an “absolute babe” and another urging: “Never stop Helen, you are the best lol!”
The Instagram post is far from the first time Ms Flanagan has faced backlash over her appearance.
She has been routinely targeted by trolls who insist mothers should not share revealing photographs online, with some branding her “embarrassing” last summer.
Ms Flanagan opted for breast augmentation surgery in 2023, a procedure costing around £5,000.

She has spoken openly about her decision, explaining: “I breastfed in total for 3 years. Matilda, I fed for eight months. Delilah, I fed for 13 months. Charlie, I fed for 14 months.”
Describing how she felt before the operation, she said: “I felt like you could tie them in a bow.”
Since the surgery, Ms Flanagan has credited the procedure with restoring her self-confidence.
The video arrived alongside a series of reflective posts in which Ms Flanagan marked a full year of being single following her split from construction worker Robbie Talbot in the summer of 2025.

GETTYWith her 36th birthday approaching next week, the actress shared her thoughts on Instagram Stories, writing: “The only time I miss having a boyfriend is when I don’t have my kids. I am more of a relationship girl.”
She added: “I don’t want to settle though unless it’s right so if it’s not I’d rather be on my own.”
Ms Flanagan, who ended her 13-year relationship with footballer Scott Sinclair in 2022, also acknowledged that she dislikes being alone, preferring the company of close friends or family when her children are not with her.
Ms Flanagan has also been sharing candid revelations about her experience as a woman living with ADHD in a recent series of Instagram posts.

GETTYIn one emotional image, she appeared in tears while discussing the intensity of her romantic feelings, writing: “Last time I had proper feelings for someone, it just felt a lot. Intense. My friends say I’m like Cathy Earnshaw in Wuthering Heights lol.”
She disclosed that she experiences limerence, an involuntary state of intense romantic obsession, as well as severe rejection sensitivity, though she noted she is improving at managing both.
On the challenges of parenting with the condition, Ms Flanagan revealed she becomes overstimulated by excessive noise and admitted she is not naturally organised, but insisted she always ensures “everything is perfect for the kids.”
