The twice-a-year clock change is losing ground in Canada. Alberta and the Northwest Territories say they intend to scrap the seasonal time change and stay on daylight saving time permanently, joining British Columbia, which recently made the same move.
If the plans hold, the spring-forward, fall-back routine that has governed Canadian clocks for decades would end across the West — leaving those provinces on a single, year-round time while much of the country still switches. Watch the report below.
