William Nylander put on a show in Denver on October 10, 2026, recording two goals and three assists for five points as the Toronto Maple Leafs skated to a 6-3 win over the Colorado Avalanche, according to reports.
Auston Matthews added two goals and two assists of his own, while goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky made 30 saves to backstop the victory. Nathan MacKinnon scored twice in a losing cause for Colorado, and defenceman Jacob Blankenburg found the net against his former team.
The Leafs played without veteran John Tavares, who was away from the team on paternity leave, yet still piled up six goals against one of the Western Conference’s top clubs — an early-season statement on the road that showcased Toronto’s offensive depth.
Nylander’s five-point night was the standout individual performance of the young NHL weekend, and the win kept Toronto rolling as the Atlantic Division race takes early shape.
